The Fang Report #2: Why do NFT Game economies continuously FAIL?
Illuvitars leaks, how I am approaching this market and what needs to change with Gamefi economies
July feels like it is the calm before the storm as we await the Illuvium Zero Beta, The Illuvitars launch and more details about the overworld in August. Illuvium has been consistently ramping up for quite a few months now and I feel like the quietness of July is about to be preceded by some crazy movement.
In July, I am watching a variety of things to help myself better understand what it takes to truly make it in the Gamefi Space:
Illuvitars seems to be shaping up as far more than just any other PFP project and there are some hidden details that could blow everybody's mind.
ILV continues to tumble down but I am slowly accumulating as much capital as I can for what I believe could be the greatest opportunity in my lifetime.
I unload my thoughts on what I think Illuvium HAS to do to have a chance at becoming a successful and sustainable gamefi economy so we don't end up with another Axie Infinity.

First, we need to address the elephant in the room.
No one expected a trailer for the Illuvitars - Andrew Wall has finally gone full into Video and Production and has shown already from day 1.
They are going full steam ahead and as the pieces fall in place & Illuvium is shaping up to have the strongest marketing team in gamefi.
Before we address the alpha we need to discuss Illuvitars and some specific details, in case you aren’t too familiar.
Illuvitars will be customisable PFP’s where you can purchase base portraits and accessories and then customise your very own profile picture for use in every single Illuvium game.
There is a genuine focus on this remaining purely as cosmetic upside to being involved with the ecosystem. There will be 3 batches in the first run and the likely scenario is that each batch will be unlimited minting for 24 hours.
As always you can use sILV2 or Ethereum and sILV2 will be pegged to ILV during the purchase.
As it stands sILV2 is sitting at approximately $40 USD which is about 33% of the ILV price. Now timing is extremely important here, if we assume ILV can hit $40 USD then it's only a matter of when, at this stage your current sILV2 purchase would break even if you wanted to buy Illuvitars. I think it is currently a good price but read on further to uncover my current strategy.

Now let's get to the alpha. There are dozens of wild messages from Kieran himself but I want to hone in on two specifically.
